A free communication tool after a stroke
A stroke can take away speech while leaving everything else — the thoughts, the person, the wish to be heard. My Voice is a simple, free tool that speaks for someone who can’t easily find the words: big buttons for everyday needs, feelings and emergencies, read aloud in a natural voice.
It opens in a new tab in your language, and works on a phone, tablet or computer.
What it does
- Big, clear buttons for everyday phrases — “I need the toilet”, “I’m in pain”, “I love you” — spoken aloud in a natural voice.
- Emotion cards, an emergency screen, and a “build a sentence” helper for saying something new.
- Carer settings: pick the care needs that fit (weak hand, aphasia, low vision) and the app sets itself up — bigger buttons, high contrast, switch scanning.
Who it’s for
Stroke survivors — especially with aphasia — and the families and carers beside them. No sign-up, no cost, nothing to install.

Free, and a work in progress
