A calm, simple home screen
When a phone or tablet becomes a maze of icons, the things that matter get lost and most of it goes unused. My Phone replaces the busy home screen with a few big buttons: the people to call, shown by their photo, a camera, the photos, today, and a simple Help button. Everything else stays hidden. No menus, nothing to search for, and the buttons never move.
It opens in a new tab in your language, and works on a phone, tablet or computer — even offline once it’s open. On a phone, tapping a face starts the call.
What it does
- A fixed grid of large buttons that never move — tap a familiar face to call, take a photo, look through pictures, or see today at a glance. Tapping a face speaks the name aloud.
- A carer sets it up on the device — who to call (with a photo and number), a gentle plan for the day, and reminders shown one at a time with a single “OK”. No system notifications, and finished tasks return home on their own.
- Bigger text, high contrast, spoken prompts, a seeing-side layout, and — if it helps — a plain dialler and buttons that open My Voice and My Day right inside it. Six languages, works offline.
Who it’s for
Anyone finding a modern phone harder than it needs to be — with dementia or memory changes, or after a stroke — and the families and carers who set it up for them. No sign-up, no cost, nothing to install.

Free, and a work in progress
This is an early prototype we’re sharing openly in the hope it helps. It’s a calmer way to use a phone — not a medical or emergency device. The Help button calls one person you choose; it does not reach emergency services, and any pendant alarm or care arrangement stays exactly as it is. Use it, share it, and tell us what would make it better.
